Summary Objectives:-
To produce and demonstrate a robust joint probability methodology for determining extreme estuarine water levels due to the combined effects of tides, surges, flows and waves in a range of realistic situations.

Key Customer Purpose:-
Improve the scientific basis of MAFF's guidance to the operating authorities on design criteria for flood defences in estuaries.
