Induction of virus replication in honey bees parasitised by Varroa jacobsoni. - HH0807SHB

Objective
i) To determine the stimuli including replication of acute paralysis virus (APV).
ii) To characterise the humoral or tissue associated response to these stimuli and identify any differences between fees of different life stages and from different colonies.
iii) To determine the normal temporal and spatial distribution of acute paralysis virus in honey bees and identify changes associated with induction of virus replication.
iv) To determine the role of v. jacobsoni in the induction of virus replication.
