Assessment of Las air quality review & assessment procedure - AQ01512

Description
.The contract is to assess Local Authorities’ Air Quality Review and Assessment procedures. It includes appraisal of Local Authority Review and Assessment reports that are submitted to Defra and the Devolved Administrations to determine whether the procedure has been carried out appropriately in accordance with published guidance. Appraisal reports are then submitted to Defra and the Devolved Administrations to return to the Local Authorities. A Review and Assessment Helpdesk is provided to assist Local Authorities in their Review and Assessment work. This provides telephone and email support. A website is also maintained which contains Frequently Asked Questions, examples of reports and links to other useful websites. Contributions are being made to the preparation of Guidance documents. In addition, data from Local Authority studies of nitrogen dioxide diffusion tubes alongside automatic monitors are being assembled into a web based database to provide information about diffusion tube bias.
